What does #Gramos say to local farmers
Sunraysia has alot to offer to not only our country but also the world. Our wine and table grape industries are internationally renowned.

For our region to keep exceling in business regardless of the industry, change must be embraced expecially in regards to innovation.

You dont need to re-create the wheel when it comes to innovation. Innovation can be as small as changing the way you think business. Too often businesses keep their cards very close to their chest and form a sense of paranoia that prevents them from looking elsewhere to begin to make changes. I pose a different thought, I believe that the first step in innovation is to begin networking with other professionals not only from your industry but elsewhere. There are many benefits to openining our doors for other professionals;

- Exchange of ideas.
- Ability to work together to solve a common industry problem.
- Sharing tools that ease/help businss continuity

We must expand our innovative thoughts in to reality otherwise they will continue piling up in the cemetery of good ideas that never eventuated.

I often speak to farmers about running a farm efficiently and analysing year to year production. Yet many don't see the importance in doing that, they continue running the same process that their fathers, fathers were running. The most common responce I hear is "Why change something that has been working for generations", Motorola made that mistake and got left behind in the mobile phone industry, they did nothing wrong but did not change.   Allan Long who won the Mildura Innovation Award - Kolios Award for Innovative Process in Small Business in 2013 supports this message.  "I challenge today's horticulturalists to Innovate and keep us at the forefront".  Allan says in this Sunraysia Daily article recently.

Begin innovating TODAY, if you have that great idea that may stream line your farm, whether it be using drones for pesticides or weedicides or others innovative ideas that would streamline your business and save you money, go out and do it. The government will even help you out with grants up to $50,000.
